Our Installation Process: Ensuring a Perfect Fit

A great installation starts with accurate measurements, skillful fitting, and a strong understanding of the property’s character. Whether we’re installing timber, aluminium, or uPVC windows and doors, we maintain the aesthetic integrity of your home or business while providing long-lasting performance.

To ensure a smooth installation experience, it’s important to prepare the space properly. Here’s how you can help us get started:

• Clear the Area: Remove any furniture, rugs, or items that could obstruct our work. Large or heavy items like wardrobes and beds can be left as our team will move them for you.

• Protect Surfaces: Our team will cover floors and other surfaces with dust sheets or protective film to ensure they remain clean during the installation.

• Remove Fragile Items: Please remove any delicate objects, such as artwork or ornaments, before installation day.

• Ensure Easy Access: Make sure there is a clear path to the installation site for our team and for any waste removal.

By following these simple steps, you can help us complete the installation with minimal disruption to your daily life.

Effective communication is key to a stress-free experience. Here are some tips to ensure a seamless installation process:

• Share Special Requests: Let us know if there’s a particular area or room you’d like us to begin with, especially if you prefer we work around your schedule.

• Prepare the Space: As mentioned, remove any valuable or fragile items from the installation area to avoid any damage.

• Disable Alarms: If you have a burglar alarm or any other security systems, please turn them off prior to installation.

• Inform Us of Cables or Obstructions: If there are cables or other potential obstructions, let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

The more information you can provide, the better we can tailor our approach to meet your needs.

For full-house installations, we generally start at the top of the property and work our way down. This minimizes disruption and reduces the spread of dust and dirt throughout the house. If you’d prefer we start elsewhere, let us know, and we’ll accommodate your needs.

Once the fitting is complete, we ensure everything is left in excellent condition. We take pride in leaving your property clean, with all waste carefully removed. Our fitting teams are trained with the mantra: “Leave every home as if it were your own.”

However, please note that we don’t handle tasks such as redecorating or patching up walls around windows and doors. If you require assistance with this, we’re happy to recommend trusted partners who can help with decorating or making good.

While we pride ourselves on precision, minor adjustments or imperfections (known as “snags”) can sometimes arise during installation. If you notice any issues, please inform your project manager immediately so they can be addressed while the installation is ongoing.

For more complex issues, such as alignment problems or functional concerns, please let us know straight away, and we’ll prioritize resolving them.

After installation, once you’ve had time to use and inspect your new windows or doors, you may notice small snags. If this happens, please make a list of any issues and, if possible, share photographs to help us understand the problem clearly. We’ll return to fix any issues, ensuring the installation meets your expectations.
